Salvation is first noted in the Old Testament, Daniel 12:1-2, where it is called, Everlasting Life.

- And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
- And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Today we follow the New Testament with its teachings, one is on salvation.
In the Great Commission given in Mark 16:15 Christ appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Believeth and is baptized shall be saved infers salvation.
Salvation contains six steps and can be referred to as the Plan of Salvation.
Here, believe, repent, confess, be baptized, live faithful.
When one realizes that he can be saved by obeying the Gospel, and by obeying the Gospel steps are involved, believe, repent, confess, and be baptized.
Believe that Christ is the son of God, repent of his last life style by following a good moral code, which is taught in the New Testament, confess that Christ is the son of God, and be baptized. Baptism is accomplished by a complete immersion in water, not by sprinkling as taught in the Catholic Church.
Salvation is found only in the Church of Christ, the correct scriptural church.
The New Testament Church, correctly called The Church Of Christ, is inferred in Colossians 1:18 (KJV) at the end of the verse.
That in all things he might have the preeminence.
Definition of preeminence: supremacy, The state of being supreme.
In the New American Standard Bible (NASB) Colossians 1:18:
So that He Himself might come to have first place in everything.
If Christ is to have first place in everything, indicates the church should be named after him, hence, The Church Of Christ.
In Ephesians 1:22-23 (KJV) Paul tells us Christ has power over all things and that the church and his body are the same.
- 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
- 23 Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all.
The (body of Christ), body being a metaphor representing the church as a whole. Of course there are local churches that are attended by the members. When baptized you become a member of the Church Of Christ and are called a Christian.
Paul in Romans 16:16 calls the church, Churches of Christ.
As you grow in the church with continual studying of the New Testament be aware of what is taught in your church. If that church departs from the scriptures look for one that is scriptural. It may take some time before one is found, but one must be steadfast in his PERSEVERANCE of the truth.
The New Testament is an incredible book, profound in its nature, its been around for close to 2000 years, the most studied book since books were first printed.
You can be most assured that if it offers salvation it is true.
A note here about the homeless which varies in makeup, the drug addicted, hard alcoholic, mental unstable, possibly brought on by drugs, alcohol, they’re hard to reach, help constantly goes on to reach these people, hope is prayed for.
