We live in a world that we don’t give much day to day thought of how the environment we live in. We go around attending to our functions as they fall into place for that day.
Mother Nature provides all the food we eat.
Nowadays horticulturists have developed fruit and vegetables from nature into the wonderful displays of the fresh fruit and vegetables, grown for the market into the various arrays of them available in the produce department at the grocery store. Customers can make their selections for there planned use.
Vegetables include:
artichoke, asparagus, aubergine (or North American eggplant), baby corn, beetroot, bok choy (or pak choi), broccoli, Brussels sprout, cabbage, calabrese, capsicum, carrot, cassava (or manioc), cauliflower, celeriac, celery, chicory, courgette (or North American & Australian zucchini), cucumber, daikon, fennel, garlic, globe artichoke, Jerusalem artichoke, kale, leek, lentil, lettuce, lollo rosso, marrow, mooli, mushroom, okra, onion, parsnip, pepper, potato, colloquial spud, pumpkin, radish, rocket, shallot, spinach, spring onion, squash, swede, sweetcorn, sweet potato, turnip, water chestnut, yam
The animals we eat for meat are quite a collection.
Cattle, guffalo (bovine), pig (), deer, elk, chicken, rabit etc.
Chicken, duck wild or tame, goose wild or tame, turkey wild or tame, pigeon, the young , pigeon domesticated, a young pigeon, that can be eaten is called a squab.
Game birds:
quail, grouse, partridge, pheasant, ptarmigan. Some came from the wild and domesticated, or stayed in the wild.
Mother Nature has also provided a mode of travel long before the internal combustion engine and train and plane travel.
The horse and camel has been around as one tribesman said to another, for many moons, the horse and camel once adapted for use have displayed their talents for riding and pulling wagons, I forgot to mention the mule, bread from a horse and donkey, also the Asian elephant once trained can be used for many chores.
The camel is better naturally for desert use, its hoofs and internal water carrying capacities are a natural for the desert sand.
We keep our dwellings clean, the city maintains our roads, keeping them, parks etc clean.
As we live here in the United States, a complex nation, it is one of the routine daily functions of assigned personnel of keeping their areas clean.
Mother Nature in her respective duties has various life forms that keep the environment clean. On land the animals of assorted species are either eaten or die, however there is a cleanup process there too. Buzzards eat dead animals along with other species, an animal can decompose on its own, with microbes, carrion is reduced to bone, and time disappears or if buried in the ground can become a fossil.
Earth is self cleaning as provided by Mother Natures life forms, unless we contaminate an area. Atomic waste for example from energy producing plants etc has to be confined to an area so escaping radiation isn’t exposed. Radiation eventually disappears, but that can take into the millenniums.
The oceans and seas are self cleaning unless contaminated by humans, fish, sharks sealions, orcas take their place of eating one an another, although I don’t know of anything eating an orca (killer wale).
Crabs eat there share of what falls to there shallow bottom dwellings. Countless others species, some not discovered yet, dine on a food that meets there surprisingly form of eating or absorbing a morsel of energy.
Microbes in the ocean floors eliminate waste that falls to the bottom. There are even microbes that eat rust from rusted steel ships laying on the sea floor, and microbes that eat oil that seeps from ocean bottoms.
Microbes live in the settlements on the sea beds, forms of food settle there, in which these one cell microbes ingest, another way the planet cleans itself in these great dept.
An interesting experiment:
Look at a drop of water through a microscopes, notice all the one cell microbes and their many shapes, they’re there for a reason.
In the pacific ocean there is a calm area that has a hundred miles of assorted junk, it seems to collect there, Mother Nature no doubt would in the millennium’s take care of that sea hazard too.
