The following narratives goes into detail explaining the complexity of a single cell, disputing the myth that life originated from the primordial ancient sea bed.
The evolutionists have come up with the idea that life miraculously started in the primordial ancient sea bed, structures of a single cell miraculously came together, then progressed in eons of time to, sea animals, land animals, birds, plants, trees etc.
Lets examine what a single cell would have to consists of, it’s a miniature factory in itself.
The cell biological membrane surrounds the cytoplasm of a cell. The cytoplasm is the material contained within a cell, other than the nucleus. It is full of proteins that control cell metabolism. Inside the nucleus is the double helix DNA, and also can contain RNA, associated with the transmission of genetic information
The cell membrane, or plasma membrane, is a biological membrane that surrounds the cytoplasm of a cell. In animals, the plasma membrane is the outer boundary of the cell, while in plants and prokaryotes its inner parts usually covered by a cell wall.
This membrane serves to separate and protect a cell from its surrounding environment and is made mostly from a double layer of phospholipids, which are amphiphilic (partly hydrophobic and partly hydrophilic). Hence, the layer is called a phospholipid bilayer, or sometimes a fluid mosaic membrane.
The plasma membrane in cells have special structures that allow water and other food materials to pass in and out of the cell. At thousands of places across its surface, the plasma membrane holds gatekeeper structures- called channels and pores.
These channels allow things to move in and out of the cell. Not everything can freely pass in and out of the cell. The cells allow only those things which are necessary for them to function. Cell surface membranes also contain receptor proteins that allow cells to detect external signaling molecules such as hormones.
Different types of cell have cell walls made up of different materials:
- plant cell walls are primarily made up of cellulose,
- fungi cell walls are made up of chitin,
- bacteria cell walls are made up of peptidoglycan.
Cells are amazing. They are all made of similar building blocks, but they do many different things depending on how they are programmed.
Some cells carry oxygen to parts of our body. Other cells defend against invading bacteria and viruses. There are cells that transmit signals through out the body like the signals from your eyes to your brain while reading this article. Some cells can even convert the sun’s energy into food. This is called photosynthesis.
There are hundreds of jobs that cells can do. Cells also make other cells in a process called cell division. That is something other building blocks cannot do. The average adult human body has around 37.2 trillion cells.
With the narrative above depicting how a single cell miraculously works, can the evolutionists support their claim that life originated from the primordial ancient sea bed?
