Our great country the United States became a new nation with its Constitution being ratified in 1789 with only thirteen colonies. It’s beginning history has to be determined it was Divinely inspired by events of its creation.
President Thomas Jefferson bought The Louisiana Purchase from Napoleon Bonaparte for 15 millions dollars it was money Napoleon needed to support a war he was involved in. It came as a bargain, for this vast amount of land. What value can be given for such an astonishing giveaway, a steal? No value can be determined today, it eventfully developed into 15 states. Priceless comes close for these 15 states, but the size of the United States eventually expanded its borders from shore to shore and included the Hawaiian islands, the climax of all the 50 states was reached.
Liberalism has been defined in different ways going back centuries, but the grip of liberalism on the country took 50 years to get the U.S. on the verge of collapse. One view of liberalism is that the Constitution was a revolutionary and liberal document. The United States Bill of Rights, the first ten amendments to the constitution, has some of the natural rights liberal thinkers used to justify the Revolution.
As far as the Constitution being a liberal document is a total made up miss leading farce. It contained the guidelines for the greatest country ever, two of its greatest virtues are, Liberty and Freedom. The following is some notes of the country going left and conservatism coming into play as a bulwark of the nation.
In 1933 president Franklin D. Roosevelt, a Democrat took the country to the left. He was elected president four times. The country was in the middle of the Great Depression after the collapse of Wall Street in 1929.
Roosevelt put in charge of straightening out the collapse, Joseph P. Kennedy father of president John F. Kennedy. He was appointed as the Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) from 1933 to 1935.
When Franklin Roosevelt called Joe to Washington to clean up the securities industry, somebody asked FDR why he had tapped such a crook. “Takes one to catch one,” replied Roosevelt.
Mafia boss Frank Costello claimed to a book author that he had been associated with Kennedy in bootlegging during Prohibition. Kennedy’s most recent and most thorough biographer David Nasaw recorded no credible evidence has ever been found that links Joseph Kennedy to any illegal bootlegging activities.
Fortune magazine in 1957, published the richest people in the United States at that time. It placed Joe in the $200–400 million dollar category. In today’s money value market that would be 1.68 billion to 3.36 billion.
They estimated him to be one of the richest person in the United States at that time. Joseph Kennedy father of president John F. Kennedy is mentioned here as part of Americans history which should include with his great influence the election of his son JFK as president in 1963.
A note needed to be remembered is that certain things went about in Chicago which gave John Kennedy the needed slim votes to win the election. The many ways Roosevelt tried to end the Depression didn’t workout, it was the Second World War which eventually pulled the United States out of that depressive time in the thirties.
As Commander in Chief of the United States in world war 2 he has to be held in high esteem for its role in winning the biggest and most destructible war ever. A life under Nazi or Japanese rule would of been deplorable.
Unfortunately Roosevelt died three weeks before Germany surrendered on May, 7 1945 and president Truman finished the war in both theaters.
Liberalism was running along as some what of a moderate belief until Lyndon Johnson, Democrat, 1963 to 1968 became president, then the liberal left wing of the Democrat party took over.
Johnson’s liberal presidency began to showed when he micro-managed the war in Vietnam and history has reveals the start of the gradual 50 year decline of the United States from this time. President Ronald Reagan did a masterful job in his eight years, but he had to cope with a democratic Congress. Turning left, some of their effects was the number they tried to do on him with the Iran affair.
The Bush years as moderates of the presidency did well, but the conservative presidency of Ronald Reagan has not been replaced by the moderate do nothing Republican Party. Barack Obama’s seven year presidency has got the country in a perilous condition and getting worse.
His complaining about George W. Bush’s presidency as the problem may be a way of blaming him in the first four years. The next four years has giving us a nation of, 94 million out of work and some 50 million on food stamps, which places the blame squarely on his shoulders.
The indoctrinated left has fought hard to keep it that way by their nonsense ways of running the country.
