God gave a chosen people a land in which they could live, prosper and worship, it was the Jewish Dispensation time period. The Jewish dispensation had turmoil through its existence. It eventually divided into two houses, House of Israel the ten tribes and House of Judah two tribes. This happened because of King Solomon.
David, a young Jewish boy at a young age kills the Philistine giant Goliath and later becomes king David. Bathsheba the wife of King David gives birth to Solomon who later becomes king.
Later in life King Solomon for some reasons worshiped other gods and did not keep the commandments set forth by the Lord. The Lord informed him that He would split the kingdom into two nations after his death, 1 Kings 11:9-13. Eventually because of continued disobedience God allowed the House of Israel and House of Judah to be carried away by Assyria and Babylon.
Cyrus, king of Persia, over runs Babylon after its 70 years of existence and allows Jews to return to Israel that wanted too. With a return of Jews to Israel in 538 BC. many changes of events occur down to the first century.
But first lets bring in Alexander the Great a world conqueror in his time. He conquers Persia around 331 BC ending some 200 years of rule by Persia. And with his conquests came the rise of conquered countries speaking Greek.
Around 285 BC the Jews are using the Septuagint a Greek translation of the old testament. The Septuagint came about because Jews were speaking the Greek language after Alexander conquered Israel. Their original manuscripts became lost in their former language.
Their society kept progressing as time moved on. With Rome dominance in the world Israel came under their rule in 63 BC. Finally in 70 AD the temple is destroyed by the Romans, the Jews react violently, the Romans with no more patience totally expel the Jews from Israel ending the Jewish Dispensation in Israel.
